Policies on Course Work Completion - SIBBC&S Online Programs

SIBBC&S Online Programs are committed to ensuring that students engage actively with their coursework and maintain a regular momentum within the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS). This policy outlines the expectations for students regarding coursework completion.

  • Students are expected to complete all assigned coursework by the due dates specified in their course syllabus. This includes video lectures, readings, discussions, assignments, quizzes, and any projects and examinations.

  • Early submission is encouraged to avoid last-minute technical issues. Extensions may be granted at the discretion of the course facilitators under exceptional circumstances.

  • All submissions must adhere to the format guidelines specified by the Seminary.

  • Unless otherwise specified, submissions should be made electronically through the LMS. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure that submitted files are in PDF.

  • Late submissions without prior approval for an extension will be subject to penalties, which may include grade deductions or at times ineligibility for assessment.

  • In cases of repeated late submissions, additional academic consequences may be considered.

  • All submissions must be the original work of the student, properly citing sources and references where applicable.

  • Feedback and grades for submitted assignments will be provided. Students are encouraged to review feedback carefully and to seek further clarification from facilitators if needed.

  • Students experiencing technical difficulties with submission must contact technical support or the course facilitator as soon as possible before the deadline.

  • Documentation of technical issues may be required for consideration of extensions or exemptions from late submission penalties.
