Policies on the Attending of Live Sessions - SIBBC&S Online Programs

SIBBC&S Online Programs emphasize the importance of regular attendance in all live sessions as a foundational element of student success. These sessions are integral for engaging comprehensively with the curriculum, participating actively in discussions, tracking personal academic progress, and understanding evaluative feedback within an academic context.

  • Students are required to attend all scheduled live sessions facilitated by course instructors, monthly live chapels, and participate in administrative or academic meetings, virtual seminars, and scheduled academic consultations as required.

  • A portion of the course grade, specifically 10%, is allocated to regular attendance and active participation in these live sessions, underscoring the value placed on engagement and presence within the course framework.

  • Students bear full responsibility for all information and material presented during live sessions. In the event of absence, it is the responsibility of the student to acquire the missed content and complete any associated work.

  • It is the student's obligation to inform course facilitators or the appropriate administrative authority in advance of any absences, and to coordinate the completion of any missed assignments or content.

  • 2 absences in the entire duration of a single course (8 weeks) may be considered excusable under circumstances such as illness, family emergencies, or significant personal issues.

  • Regular absence may result in a recommendation for withdrawal from the program or the imposition of academic penalties if attendance fails to meet course standards. Unexcused absences will lead to academic penalties such as reductions in assignment grades or the overall course grade.
