Policies on Zoom Video Conferencing - SIBBC&S Online Programs

SIBBC&S Online Programs use Zoom video conferencing for all the live sessions. This policy outlines the procedures for sharing Zoom links with students, expectations for behaviour during live sessions, and measures to prevent unauthorized access and disruptions.


  • Zoom links for live sessions will be communicated to students via the student WhatsApp group and the institute’s Learning Management System (LMS).

  • Access to these links will be provided 2 to 3 hours prior to the start of the session to ensure timely participation.

  • To safeguard the integrity of live sessions, appropriate access controls will be implemented. This includes the implementation of waiting rooms or password protection, and at times authentication processes to permit only authorized participants.

  • Students are required to join the sessions using their official name as registered during admission to facilitate identification and attendance tracking.

  • All students are required to join live sessions promptly at the scheduled start time. This is essential for maximizing learning opportunities, ensuring full participation. Late arrivals disrupt the session flow and may impact the learning experience for all participants.

  • All live sessions will be recorded for educational purposes. These recordings will be made accessible to students through the LMS for review and study purposes.

  • Participants must adhere to a professional code of conduct during live Zoom sessions. This encompasses maintaining respect and professionalism, muting microphones when not speaking, and using video features responsibly.

  • Participants are urged to be aware of their privacy when utilizing video. This includes careful selection of their background and the consideration of background blur or virtual backgrounds to maintain privacy.

  • Disruptive behaviour, unauthorized recording, or sharing of session content is strictly prohibited. Violations may lead to disciplinary action.

  • The sharing of Zoom session links with non-enrolled or unauthorized individuals is strictly forbidden.
